In cinema, fade-to-black is a very simple effect to make the image disappear. This artifice is used to convey an infinite number of ideas and emotions: the loss of consciousness of a character, the passing of time or the instant of death. In this way, the ultimate space remains in the spectators. Only sound can alter that visual memory. Destroy it. And return us to a immense, mutating darkness.
