Luis Biasotto was born in 1972 and Luciana Acuña in 1975, in Córdoba.
They currently work and live in Buenos Aires.
Since 1999, they have worked as creative team and they are the founders of the company Grupo Krapp, still under their direction.
Their works, collective as well as solo productions, have been presented at several festivals and theaters of Latin America, the United States and Europe. In 2009, Grupo Krapp was awarded the Konex career-achievement award, and in 2013 the Centro Cultural San Martín presented Retrocedida Krapp, a journey throughout the history of the company that brought their most remarkable pieces back on stage.
They have given classes and seminars in cities such as Buenos Aires, La Plata and Granada, and at such institutions as Michigan University, Colgate University, the American Dance Festival, Dance Umbrella and Oakland University. They gave workshops with a final staging of the works at 2012 and 2014 CIUDANZA. They are professors at Universidad Nacional del Arte (UNA) of the Choreography Workshop and Dance –Theater Composition 5 and 6.
They are currently working on a new production, El futuro de los hipopótamos, commissioned by the Teatro de la Ribera of the Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires, to be premiered in April 2017.
